Historic Waterside Setting

Friendly, knowledgable guides dressed in character costumes add to the atmosphere around the Historic Quayside of this recreated 19th Century Seaport.

Travel back in time, browsing the shops and see how tradesmen like tailors, printers and instrument makers earned a wage. Test your aim in Skittle Square in the shadow of HMS Trincomalee with traditional games played by the people of the past.

Let your imagination run wild with hours of fun inside and out at the Childrens Maritime Adventure Centre and on the Playship. Young sailors climb the ropes and make believe pirates can walk the plank whilst guns fire into the sea before their eyes.
